Traveling is one of the best stuff you can possibly do. It generates romantic relationships (it's how Tony and I met), pushes you to understand an incredible quantity about yourself, motivates you to definitely step out of your safe place and expands your understanding.

Over the past year, I produced a commitment to visit more. To see the globe, other cultures and also to just relax and revel in lifestyle. Everytime I come back from a vacation, I am rejuvenated, filled with ideas and a little more ambitious. Lucky for me personally, my job allows me to visit and talk about my encounters with everyone!
Most recently I actually continued a 7-day cruise towards the Eastern Caribbean with Princess Cruises I'll have a couple posts within the next month writing my experience with all of you. There were a wide variety of experiences, it becomes difficult to thin it down to just one single post.
We left on the Sunday away from Fort Lauderdale and collection sail over the shiny blue ocean. This was my first-time heading on a cruise ship, so I actually had no idea what things to expect.
We attained our rooms to get two twin beds, a shower and a lovely balcony. I believe we ate more food than we're able to handle too… but I'll demonstrate every one of the food in part 2 of this post.
First let's get right to where we went and what we did!
Princess Kays, Bahamas
Our first end was Princess Kays within the Bahamas; we showed up the day directly after we left the US. The elements was outstanding and I hadn't remember seeing drinking water that clear since I visited Australia last year.
Since my mother and I both LOVE staying active on vacations, we thought we would execute a kayaking excursion while there.
P.S. It's a good idea to do active excursions while on holiday, especially if you know you'll be consuming your fair share of dessert.
The wonderful part concerning the kayak is the fact that the bottom was actually transparent; although the water was apparent, we didn't find any seafood. OR SHARKS.
After our trip to Princess Kays, we went back and recieved massages from their beautiful Lotus Health spa You can have a 360 degree tour of the spa to obtain a sense of how gorgeous it is. I got a bamboo massage which is similar to deep tissue.
I've been having some neck and back problems lately, therefore the massage was such a nice treat to take pleasure from.
We enjoyed fabulous meals every evening and had a great time having Mom & daughter time together, specifically since I live in Chicago and she's in Minneapolis.
St. Thomas, U.S. Virgin Islands
We spent a trip to sea and attained St. Thomas; the elements was warm and the people were kind. We'd a trekking, kayak and snorkel guided excursion and met our tour guides at the port. It was an easy process and once again, I loved feeling energetic and experiencing all the island's natural splendor.
The kayaking was beautiful and smooth. The tour guides spoke about the jellyfish, the plant life, algae and certain fish we might see. The water was a pale, very clear blue and I was quickly able to see jellyfish within the lagoon.
We paddled to some separate part of the isle, then remaining our kayaks and went for a quick hike. Through the hike, we learned all about perhaps one of the most poisonous plant life in the world and also found hermit crabs from the hundreds. It had been amazing!
The crab ended up pinching me! That jerk.
We followed the hiking path right down to a pebble rocked walkway close to the ocean where waves were crashing on the stones. I literally acquired no idea how beautiful St. Thomas was, but now I can understand why we ceased there. Have some of you been? Tell me!
After our hike, we snorkeled and saw several rainbow fish, barracuda, and plenty of coral. I'm happy my Mom could experience the snorkeling; it had been her first-time and she was a trooper.
Before we got back around the ship, we grabbed lunch at Barefoot Buddha Recommend if you are ever in St. Thomas!
St. Maarten
I spent your day in St. Maarten with Lee from Match Foodie Finds and her boyfriend, Blake. We had been supposed to go on a catamaran but both experienced like we wished to get a experience for the isle and scope out a number of the food.
We stopped by a Caribbean restaurant and I ordered bruschetta and a Caribbean chopped salad with poultry. It wasn't anything crazy delicious, but since Lee and I had both ran 3 miles that morning hours, we needed gasoline inside our bellies.
AND DESSERT, obviously.
Also happy on the subject of running those three miles, because I believe I ended up having dessert that night too. I told you.
My only regret is the fact that We wasn't in a position to spend additional time at St. Maarten. The history of the isle is very interesting, as 1 / 2 of it's French as well as the other half, Dutch. I am hoping to return some day to check out some of the food and culture from both sides.
Question: Perhaps you have ever gone to these locations? I'd want to hear what you do and any recommendations for others. It certainly is fun to hear about delicious eats or activities!
I'll be back with part 2 quickly and showing you my intense body shred workout from the ship! xoxo.
I went on that exact guided hike/snorkel/kayak experience in St. Thomas and I cherished it! The guides had been great and I usually tell people I'd completely advise that in an effort to see the isle!
